Seigaiha, the blue ocean waves, carries a wish for continuous peace and prosperity, its endless layered arches rendered here in deep navy and cream. The hexagonal panel is shaped after kikko, the tortoiseshell pattern, symbolizing longevity and resilience. When several panels are brought together, they unite into a larger kikko pattern — each piece complete on its own, more powerful as a whole.
