A salaryman is a Japanese white-collar worker or businessman whose income is salary-based and who usually works for a corporation. Salarymen work long hours, and after work, they often go out with colleagues to drink, eat, and discuss work and life together. One popular destination for these after-work meetings is the yakitori (skewered grilled chicken) bar.

The Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is a natural forest in Kyoto, Japan. Visiting this forest is like stepping into another world, surrounded by a sea of green bamboo and feeling the breeze. The Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is one of the most photographed sights in Japan. 

Sunset Junction

Sunset Junction is located in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles, California. In 1967, Sunset Junction was the site of the Black Cat Tavern protest, one of the first actions in the nation against police harassment of patrons in gay bars (more than two years before the Stonewall riots in New York). Today, Silver Lake continues to be an LGBT-friendly neighborhood with several long-standing venues, and Sunset Junction is the hub of this very artistic community.

Los Angeles Union Station opened in 1939, and it is the main railway station in Los Angeles, California. It was partially designed by John Parkinson and Donald B. Parkinson who had also designed Los Angeles City Hall and other landmark Los Angeles buildings. The structure combines Art Deco, Mission Revival, and Streamline Moderne style.

Spirit of Nebuta

The Nebuta float tradition evolved from the ancient Buddhist custom of floating lanterns down a river to carry away ancestral spirits. The Nebuta Festival in Aomori Prefecture is one of the oldest and most well-known summer festivals in Japan. This is a commissioned artwork for JACCC (Japanese American Cultural & Community Center) and Sustainable Little Tokyo. The enlargement window decal has been installed at Demitasse Cafe in Little Tokyo, as part of the Windows of Little Tokyo outdoor art exhibition.
